Brilliant gold. Ripe russet apple dominant with crisp acidity, baking spices and vanilla. Well balanced. Integrated alcohol. Almost off dry, full bodied with rich ripe fruit density. Pairs well with pork chops and applesauce, jumbo bacon-wrapped sea scallops or an unsweetened apple crisp. Fantastic all around and good value. Tasted July 2018. 93 points.

This chardonnay has a rich golden yellow hue and aromas of apples, vanilla, and ripe pineapple - the indicators of an oaked full body chardonnay. On the palate the oak flavours of buttery baked apples are balanced with a pleasant acidity. It makes for a wine that is enjoyable to sip on its own but it would pair easily with a pork roast or rich seafood dish.

The Closson Chase Chardonnay 2011 is a full bodied Chardonnay full of aromas and flavours of apple, nuts and vanilla. Very smooth and buttery mouthfeel. Tasted October 7,2013 (90/100)

Beautifully buttery, exactly what you want to taste from this Ontario Chardonnay. Creamy butterscotch, apple and spice, this wine is very smooth and the oak carries the vanilla nicely.

Closson Chase Vineyard Chardonnay 2011, Prince Edward County, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Lemon zesty with smoky, buttery oak in balance. Full-bodied and generous. A sublimely concentrated and voluptuous white wine: This is clearly one of Canada's benchmark Chardonnays. The nose offers enticing aromas of baked apples, hazenut, toasted almond, green apple and Asian pear. Layer after layer unfurls on the palate. Dive in and don't look back!
