Sean O'Regan Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

August 26, 2014: Deep ruby, beautiful nose with cassis, red/black berry subtle spice and dried herb. Medium-full bodied, plush and silky with flavours mirroring the nose. This has good balance with resolved tannins and well handled oak on a long warming finish. With greater frequncy, Washington reds have been proving an excellent value alternative to Napa and this is no exception. Lovely wine with hard cheese plate, beef tenderloin or lamb stew. 91+
Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An incredible richness to this wine. Cassis, warm spice, graphite, candied violet, lavender, singed applewood, and a touch of camphor. Beautiful purity of fruit. Washington Cabernet is truly starting to challenge Bordeaux for the best expressions of Cabernet in the world, with many coming in at a fraction of the price. I'm 92 Points on this wine.
