Anyone who thinks Pinot Noir may be a little wimpy, should try this Pinot. Very rich on the palate with flavors of raspberry, plum, chocolate, and lots of great spices like cloves. A persistent lingering finish that stays with you, I found the wine at times a little over-powering, but tasty.
Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011, Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara, California, United States: Mocha and sweet dark chocolate from generous oak aging on the nose and palate. This is followed by sweet cherry flavours and a supple almost full-bodied weight. Pair with ham. Drink: 2013-2017. 652883 14.50% D 750 mL $44.95 Score: 89/100.
