Everything that is lovely about New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. From the South Island region of Marlborough. Pale lemon colour. Pronounced aromas of lemon, kiwi, gooseberry, asparagus, lychee, marzipan, fresh cut green pepper, cut grass. The flavours mimic aromas with additions of vanilla, lemon grass, pineapple, garden greens. The length is long with a zesty vegetable finish. Simply delicious.
Serve well chilled. Perfect summer day wine.
Pair with shell fish, salads, grilled vegetables.
Tasted: May 2014
Martha Kelly AIWS, CS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon-green in colour with pronounced aromas of pure Nelson Sauvignon Blanc, the mouthwatering acidity and mouth-coating body are rich with flavours of kiwi, lime, pineapple, gooseberry, green grapes, nettles, gentle chamomile, and marzipan, with garden fresh asparagus and basil notes. The finish is long, crisp, and complex.
Drink now, or keep until 2015.
Pair with salads, seafood, or savour on its own.
Date tasted: April 2014.
