Louise Wilson ISG Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Offering an aromatic bouquet of baked cherries, rose, lavender, nutmeg and wood spice, this wine transitions into a juicy full bodied palate filled with notes of plum, cherries jubilee and a trace of vanilla. Easy tannins and a hint of sweetness on the finish. Heavenly with dark chocolate. Enjoy now through 2017. Tasted Dec 2013.
Heather Wall Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Picturing a beautiful Italian landscape with grapes drying in the hot sun....waiting to become Amarone. Deep, inky ruby red. Heady nose of dried prunes and figs, raisin, oak, vanilla, mocha and leather. This wine goes down smoothly and slowly.Amarone is a style to be savoured. I consider it a real treat each and every time. Perfect match for the filet mignon and roast potatoes we enjoyed. I also love Amarone with hard Italian cheeses.

Tommasi Classico Amarone Della Valpolicella 2009, D.O.C., Veneto, Italy: Black cherry, fruitcake, dark spices and brooding mystery on the nose. Full-bodied and velvet smooth. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Mouth-filling with some dark plum on a long finish. Classic Amarone. This half bottle size is perfect for nights when you and your dining companion want just a glass and half or so.
