Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal
rated this wine as 93/100
with the following review:
Black briar, garrigue, melted black licorice, fig, and a hint of hoisin sauce. Extremely long and complex. Much like the 2006 minus the lavender component. Ever so pure. 93 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Domaine Saint Gayan Gigondas 2009, A.C., Rhône, France: Black raspberry, dark spice and smoke on the nose of this stupendous robust red blend of 80% grenache, 15% syrah and 5% mourvèdre grapes. Spices and black cherry on a long finish that demands a steak. Be nice to this wine and it will love you back. Drink: 2013-2019. 718221 13% D 750 mL $30.95 Score: 92/100.
