James Belardo rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

I've always enjoyed wines made with the Barbera grape and this Bersano is no exception. This particular Barbera is made from the grapes from Asti region which is in the north western region of Italy. It's also relatively young wine (2011) and may have the potential of aging up to 20-years (at least, that's what 'they' say). This was my first tasting experience from this wine maker, I was impressed how well it tasted. It's intense enough to enjoy or be paired with fairly spicy food.

I think this is a wonderful wine to drink now may also taste better in the future. Given the price point, it might be a good idea for some of us to hide a few bottles in the back of our cellars. Who knows, in a few years we might be uncorking something special.

Kathleen S. rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine has a lovely plum colour and is surprisingly smooth, with little aftertaste. The flavour has notes of plum and cherry, and something vaguely floral. A great wine to pair with a light pasta, fig and prosciutto antipasto, or to drink unaccompanied.
