Lesley Quinn Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The magic of a great Bordeaux Chateau is their ability to conjure up memories. Branaire Ducru comes from the famed St. Julien area, it has been classified as a 4th growth since the classification of 1855, and it has the ability to produce some powerful images just by drinking it. The '10 at $154.99 is an investment not meant to be drunk for another 15-20 years but with it's luscious blueberries, and violets smashed into a leather saddle trust me it's worth the wait. You wait for a Bordeaux because over the years those flavours deepen, the tannins find their place and suddenly you are riding a horseback through a blueberry patch, aww the magic of Bordeaux
