Natalie's Review

Montes Purple Angel Carmenere 2010, Colchagua Valley, Chile: An amazing wine; a classic for those looking for Chile's flagship labels. There’s a splash of Petit Verdot grapes in this mostly Carmenère-driven red. Deep, long and complex with layers of mouth-watering juiciness. Deep purple says it all, including both the colour and the aromas of fleshy dark plums and berries. There's cedar smoke and spices on the finish. Truly a wine for hedonists. This is one for the cellar as well, but why wait? I'd drink it with hearty meat dishes. Drink: 2012-2018. 62364 14% XD 750 mL  $56.95 Score: 95/100. May 25, 2013 Top Rated Red Wine.
