Malivoire Mottiar Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009, V.Q.A., Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: A remarkable pinot from one of Canada’s best producers. This wine gives me faith in Ontario’s future for Pinot Noir. You’ll reveal in its plush, ripe aromas of strawberries and raspberries resting on a bed of field daisies. There’s some cinnamon dust and a sprinkle of rose petals and fresh-turned spring earth. This satiny, medium-bodied wine plays across your palate all the way to a long, berry-infused finish. The grapes for this wine are grown in winemaker Shiraz Mottiar’s own vineyard on the Beamsville Bench and comprise 5 different clones. A lovely, long persistent finish. 125252 12.50% XD 750 mL $39.95 Score: 92/100. March 30, 2013 Top Rated Red Wine. Scrumptious Seafood Wine Full Review
