This Bordeaux greets you with a gorgeous dark plum color. On the nose there are aromas of plums and smoke. On the palate leather and floral. There wasn't a lingering finish as it disappeared quickly. This blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec would go well at a BBQ.
Le Bord-Eaux Du Clos Des Moiselles Meritage 2009, A.C., Bordeaux, France: Smoky oak and mocha note are followed by fleshy wild blackberry. Full-bodied and smooth with polished tannins. Fun name but not New World style: very much rooted in the Old World. More earthy and smoky than fruity. Drink: 2013-2016. 193169 13% XD 750 mL $16.85 Score: 88/100.
