The 2009 Torre Quarto Bottaccia Uva Di Troia has appealing nose with bilberry and blueberry notes. It is a full bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine, with good acidity, notable tannins (decant for 1-2 hours) and a medium to long finish. Drink this wine with strong cheeses or salty game meats; drink now and for the next 3-5 years. My impression: NOTHING SPECIAL, 87 pts. Tasted April/13.

Torre Quarto Bottaccia Uva Di Troia Cirillo Farrusi 2009, I.G.T., Puglia, Italy: Gorgeous violet and rose petal aromas on the nose with some spice and licorice. Juicy and ultra-voluptuous on the palate with fleshy black cherries. Smooth and delicious. Wow, especially at this price. Pair with pizza or grilled pork chops. Drink: 2012-2015. 161737 13.50% D 750 mL $14.95 Score: 89/100. March 16, 2013 Best Value Red Wine. Smart Buy Wine Full Review
