Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal
rated this wine as 91/100
with the following review:
Terrific depth and concentration. This wine has tons of black fruit, vanilla, fresh tobacco, and some candied flowers (thinking violets here...) Brilliant Montepulciano. The further south you go, the better 2008 was as a vintage in Italy. 91 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Aldiano Riserva Cantina Tollo Montepulciano D'abruzzo 2008, D.O.C., Abruzzo, Italy: Lots of mocha and dark chocolate on the nose from oak aging, and it's woven nicely into the dark fruit aromas and flavours. Robust and supple. Very satisfying. Drink with a coffee-rubbed steak or chicken, or grilled meats. Drink: 2012-2016. 51706 14% D 750 mL $17.95 Score: 90/100. March 2, 2013 Best Value Red Wine.
