Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromas of blackberry, plums, white pepper, smoke, baking spices and black cherry. The taste has a bit of jammy strawberry and sour cherry. Nice tannins and still developing mid-2014. This will be quite nice with prime rib.
Bethann McLaren rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely, full-bodied and lush, with tons of ripe dark fruit (blackberry/plum/blueberry) and a touch of smokiness. Well-balanced with good tannins and a nice hit of acidity.

Cirrus Syrah 2007, W.O., Stellenbosch, South Africa: Opulent and intriguing with rich dark blackberry, black and purple plums that are fleshy ripe. There's a tang and a zing here that keeps it lively. Full-bodied with a velvet texture and mouth-filling capacity for happiness. Drink: 2013-2016. 54338 14.50% XD 750 mL  $33.95 Score: 93/100.
