Borgo Reale Kpm Giordano Vini Primitivo 2008, D.O.C., Puglia, Italy: Primitivo is noted for producing food-friendly and accessible wines. This delicious Kosher version from Borgo Reale features notes of blackberry, smoke, licorice and chocolate that greet the nose with typical Mediterranean warmth and charm. Exceptionally well made, with a dry and medium-full-bodied palate that shows a plethora of mixed fruit deliciously overlaid on superbly integrated tannins and acids. Great structure. My note: Smoky, espresso, mocha nose: love it like a warm kitchen (so inviting and comfortable). Aromas of blackberries and leather. This wine goes on and on (or maybe I do).
