reviewed this wine as follows:
Cherry-red colour of medium opacity. Aromas of preserves, confected fruit and wild berries in addition to menthol, balsamic notes with toasty. spiced undertones. Long finish with a hint of tobacco leaf.

Jean León Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, D.O., Penedès, Spain: Vintages Wine Panel: A Silver Medal winner at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2010, this is a ripe and spicy wine. My note: Gorgeous black and red cherries with liqueur-like concentration of flavour. Full-bodied with a tannic grip so decant for 1-2 hours. Some savoury meaty notes and a nice long finish. Very balanced. Drink: 2011-2016. 401596 12.80% D 750 mL $28.95 Score: 88/100. February 19, 2011 Full Review
