Abbadia Ardenga Rosso Di Montalcino Sangiovese 2007, D.O.C., Tuscany, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Rosso di Montalcinos are designed to be enjoyed in their relative youth, and this one is a prime example. Filled with aromas of blackberry, cherry and a hint of smoke, this wine is dry, quite fruit-forward and balanced. A very well-made wine for current enjoyment, or put it away for 2-4 years. My note: I really like the mouth-watering acidity here: makes you want to eat anything! Juicy and generous with dark berries and smoke. Full-bodied and smooth.
