Natalie's Review

Quinta Da Romaneira Tawny Port, D.O.C., Douro, Portugal: Vintages Wine Panel: Renowned winemaker Christian Seeley now oversees as his personal project this Quinta, which is quickly becoming a flagship in the Douro region. This comes from the driest part of the region, which translates to exceptionally robust and sun-kissed flavours. An excellent-value Port, with nutty aromas of dried berries, and sweet flavours of strawberry jam, woodspice, cranberry, anise and dark chocolate. A medium-full-bodied Tawny that shouldn’t be passed up. My note: Lovely red fruit with generous layers of pleasure. Think twice if you think wine only goes with the entree ... save a little something, like this, for dessert. 197020 19.50% S 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 87/100. February 5, 2011  Full Review
