Natalie's Review

Santa Carolina Barrica Selection Syrah 2008, Maipo Valley, Chile: Vintages Wine Panel: This Syrah is bursting with eucalyptus aromas, adding a layer of complexity to the blackberry and dark chocolate, all supported by plush tannins and good length. An excellent choice for smoked meats, and priced to be kind to your pocketbook. My note: Terrific value. Possesses a terrific texture with rich layers of blackcurrant, anise, plum and hickory smoke. A terrific wine for casual meals and movie watching. 34959 14.50% D 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 88/100. January 22, 2011  Full Review
