Corte Majoli Amarone Della Valpolicella 2006, D.O.C., Veneto, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Modernist approach to Amarone resulting in a rich wine filled with fig, cranberry, cherry, dried herbs, cocoa and strawberry. Dry, very flavourful, but nicely balanced by moderate tannins. Full bodied, leading to a long, cedar- and fruit-filled finish. An ideal choice. My note: A full-bodied red with great balance. Black cherries and plums caress your tongue with intense notes of dried fruit and leather. Perfectly balanced. Drink: 2010-2015. 81943 15% XD 750 mL $32.95 Score: 90/100. January 8, 2011 Full Review
