Château Rigaud Pierre Taix, Vitic. 2008, A.C., Puisseguin Saint-Émilion , Bordeaux, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Deep purple in the glass. The nose is quite complex with candied cherry, plum, smoked meat, vanilla bean, wild blueberry, and a floral tone riding above the other aromas. Dry and medium bodied, this is warm and fruity on the palate, with a big curtain of tannins that suggests it will reveal even more in 2-3 years. My note: Purple and black plums with wild field blackberries. Savoury, supple and delicious. Full-bodied and smooth. Drink: 2010-2015. 198366 13.50% XD 750 mL $18.95 Score: 89/100.
