Domaine Des Ailes Gamay 2009, A.C., Moulin-À-Vent, Beaujolais, France: Vintages Wine Panel: The inimitable Beaujolais producer George Duboeuf described the 2009 vintage as one of the best of the last 50 years, and the Domaine des Ailes Moulin-à-Vent is a simply terrific-value wine from this great vintage. Bright violet in the glass with an intense nose of cherry, cassis, spice, and toast. Dry with good, well balanced tannins, cherry and black fruit on the palate. You could enjoy this wine tonight with roast beef or try it with equal satisfaction on its own. My note: Bright cherries with some earthiness. Medium-bodied and mouth-watering. A wine to make you happy. Drink: 2010-2014. 183442 13% D 750 mL $15.95 Score: 88/100. November 27, 2010 Full Review
