This wine exudes depth and complexity. I decanted a bottle of the 2008 before dinner and it blew my guests away. Wow!

Black Hills Estate Winery Nota Bene 2008, Okanagan Valley, BC, Canada: This wine needs time: it's a big brooding bruiser! Gorgeous aromas of black fruit and smoke with some mocha and cedar forest. Towering structure and great length on the finish. The wine was aged in 80% French oak and 20% American. The final blend is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc.
