Marchese Antinori Riserva Chianti Classico 2006, D.O.C.G., Tuscany, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: This wine is basically a selection of the very best Sangiovese grapes from Antinori’s Chianti Classico vineyards (excluding those used for their top-end Badia a Passignano). Look for raspberry, plum, strawberry, dried meat and new leather aromas and flavours. This dry and fresh, youthful wine will still benefit from cellar time (3-5 years), but if you decant it (2 hours) you can enjoy it tonight. My note: Very classic chianti with yart cherry liqueur and some dark spices. Full-bodied and smooth. This would be amazing with almost any tomato-sauce or Italian dish. Drink: 2010-2016. 512384 13.50% XD 750 mL $29.95 Score: 89/100. October 30, 2010 Full Review
