Marco Bonfante Gavi Rasön Cortese 2009, D.O.C.G., Piedmont, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Cortese is an ancient variety, and the primary grape grown in the Gavi appellation. Refreshing lime, tangerine and candied fruit highlight the aromas and flavours, rounded out with some fine floral and stony notes. This medium-bodied white has a ripe fruit centre, a slight tang, and good length. Enjoy this Gavi. My note: Crisp and refreshing with mild flavours of white melon and peach. No heavy oak. Good aperitif. 73866 12.50% D 750 mL $14.95 Score: 86/100. October 30, 2010 Full Review
