Château De La Pierre Maison Loron Gamay 2009, A.C., Beaujolais-Villages, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Although this château dates back as far as the 12th century, its Beaujolais is as fresh as it is fruity. Lovely aromas and flavours of caramel, red plum, raspberry and cherry spice make this balanced, medium-bodied red a delight for the palate. A must-savour. My note: Sweet cherry fruit that would be amazing with turkey and game birds. Silky, medium-bodied and yet richly satisfying. A terrific wine for the money.
