Natalie's Review

Inniskillin Wines Winemaker's Series Montague Vineyard Chardonnay 2008, V.Q.A., Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: This storied Ontario winery is thriving under the leadership of award-winning winemaker, Bruce Nicholson, and this single-vineyard Chardonnay shows why. The Montague Vineyard is a well- known source for exceptional Chardonnay. Aged in French oak for 8 months, the 2008 is rich and creamy, with ripe tropical fruit, toasty cedar and vanilla character, and a long finish. Delicious now, but should evolve over the next 3-5 years. My note: A gently flavoured Chardonnay with notes of peach, pear, green apple and butterscotch. Balanced and round with a satisfying length. 586347 13.50% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 88/100. October 16, 2010  Full Review
