Drink Wine and Giggle Gals
rated this wine as 91/100
with the following review:
Oregon is the home of Nike and more ghost towns than any other state in the United States. Perhaps that is why the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals like to make Carabella Pinot Noir go swoosh as it disappears from the bottle. Carabella is smooth and harmonious which is why the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals love to pair it with Pink Martini, a smooth and harmonious "little orchestra" from Portland. Pink Martini's "Let's Never Stop Falling in Love" is a good backdrop for Carabella's pinot noir because Oregon is romantic--it was founded on Valentine's Day and is the first place harbour seals reproduced in captivity.
Carabella Pinot Noir 2008, Chehalem Mountains, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United States: Expressive aromas almost leap out of the glass: bright black cherry, dark plum and violets. Smooth, seductive and medium- to full-bodied on the palate. Savoury notes and some dark spices on the finish. Absolutely lovely. Pair with roast chicken or grilled pork chops. Drink: 2013-2017. 180125 14.50% XD 750 mL $29.95 Score: 92/100. January 5, 2013 Top Rated Red Wine. Charming Grilled Chicken Wine Full Review
