Tawse Winery Inc. Quarry Road Chardonnay 2010, VQA, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario, Canada: A gorgeous profusion of hazelnut and green apple brightness on the nose. This is followed by rich, voluptuous layers of tropical fruit and butterscotch goodness. The wine was barrel-fermented and aged 12 months in French oak (20% of which was new) and underwent a partial malolactic fermentation. Available through the winery and Vintages go to market. Drink: 2012-2017. 111989 13.50% XD 750 mL $34.95 Score: 92/100. March 7, 2013 Full Review
