Takler Pince Kékfrankos 2008, Szekszárd, Hungary: Vintages Wine Panel: Made entirely with the Kékfrankos grape, this wine features notes of plum, cherry, raspberry, spice, cassis, some light smoke and a hint of earth on the nose. Lightly tannic, with a sweet core of red fruit, and some sour cherry notes on the mid-palate. Medium bodied, with good length and a touch of herbs on the finish. My note: Simple, smooth, full-bodied and quaffable with dark fruit and smoke. 180141 13.50% XD 750 mL $12.95 Score: 83/100. September 4, 2010 Full Review
