Cantina Valpantena A Amarone Della Valpolicella 2007, D.O.C., Veneto, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Medium deep-ruby colour with a hint of garnet. Pretty perfumed nose featuring mocha, raspberry, leather, lavender and spice. Dry and delicious without any over-dried fruit qualities. The structure is very solid. The fruit rests upon a foundation of ripe tannins. This is a mouth-filling, full-bodied wine with a great deal of elegance and style. The long finish gives the palate much to contemplate, such as the next sip! My note: Rich and full-bodied; delivers on the Amarone flavour-packed promise. Black cherry liqueur, dark spices and smoke.
