Torres San Valentín Garnacha 2008, D.O., Catalunya, Spain: Vintages Wine Panel: Garnacha (Grenache, in France) is the second-most popular red grape in Spain, after Tempranillo. In lively wines such as this, it produces fruit-forward, finely structured crowd-pleasers, with notions of licorice and dried herbs, that are excellent for a wide variety of meals. My note: So dependable a producer: full-bodied, rich and deep with fleshy dark berries and some oak. Straight-forward, lip-smacking delicious flavour. 673541 14% XD 750 mL $13.95 Score: 87/100.
