Obikwa Sauvignon Blanc 2009, Durbanville Hills, South Africa: Vintages Wine Panel: Pale straw colour; lightly tropical aromas of green pineapple, guava and pear fruit with pleasant herbal notes; light- to medium-bodied with crisp, green apple flavours. My note: A grassy-good Sauvignon Blanc with wake-up aromas of gooseberry, asparagus, chives, limes and green apples. Zippy and refreshing. Perfect as an aperitif. This wine is part of the Vintages Essentials Collection. Food matches: light poultry dishes, seafood, salads. 527465 11.40% XD 750 mL $9.00 Score: 87/100. May 13, 2010 Full Review
