Natalie's Review

Cathedral Cellar Pinotage 2008, Western Cape, South Africa: If you don't know Pinotage as a grape very well, start with this wine. It's South Africa's flagship grape the way California has Zinfandel. Savoury notes of bacon, fleshy black cherry and vanilla smoke. It’s got a velvet texture with a dry medium-full-bodied weight and flavours flavours of cocoa, coffee, and blackberry jam with a dark spiced finish. Smoky oak weaves it way through the wine. Lovely! Pair with: grilled lamb steaks. 99267 13.90% XD 750 mL  $17.00 Score: 88/100. May 13, 2010  Full Review
