A lovely wine, and a steal at this price!
Lots of nice oak characteristics on the nose, including vanilla, clove, and oak. The oak is reminiscent of a well-oaked California Cabernet from a $20 bottle, or more! Some plummy red fruit from the garnacha (grenache in France) joins the bouquet.
On the palate, the roles reverse, and the fruity garnacha shines through with oak flavours to compliment.
Medium-bodied, refreshing and some decent tannic structure all for $7.70 - Move over Fuzion!
