Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of cherry, plum, pepper and spice persist on the palate with a wonderful purity of fruit and crushed flowers on the finish. Lovely wine. Drink now. For $12, pretty impressive. I'm 89 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Holly Bruns rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Notes of earth, lavendar and eucalyptus compliment the dark cherry fruit aromas; silky on the palate with a slightly sweet spiced finish, this is a lovely, warming wine for cool autumn days.

Domaine La Croix Belle Cuvée Syrah 2008, Côtes De Thongue, Midi, France: A Gold Medal winner at the 2009 Syrah du Monde wine competition. Stunningly great value for this ultra-delicious, full-bodied red! Gorgeous notes of black plums and mocha. Round and supple: wow. Perfect party wine. 160150 13.50% D 750 mL  $11.95 Score: 89/100.
