Jeremy Sprott rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The nose has plum, mint, blueberry, pepper, sweet spice and a touch of leather. The taste carries through with the plum, sweet spice and the mint. A nice wine to pair with grilled/roasted meat, or perhaps a hearty beef stew.

Hogue Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Wahluke Slope, Washington State, United States: Love this style of cabernet! Cedar and savoury with wild blackberries. Balanced and dry with a full-bodied weight and long finish. Great with many meat dishes. Drink: 2012-2016. 301358 14.30% D 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 91/100. November 10, 2012  Full Review
