Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The 2009 Hidden Bench Felseck Vineyard Chardonnay, with fruit sourced from the Felseck Vineyard having plantings dating back to 1988, has intense aromas of unripe pear, unripe currants on the nose and pear and light oak toast on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine; with good, palate cleansing acidity and a long, smooth, subtly oaky finish. Enjoy this wine on-its-own; drink now – 2018+. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted Nov/13.

Natalie's Review

Hidden Bench Winery Felseck Vineyard Chardonnay 2009, V.Q.A., Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: I've said it before (almost every vintage) and I'll say it again: this is one of favourite Niagara chardonnays! Halenit wraps voluptuously around a core of fleshy, bright sun-ripened peach. Bring happiness some happiness into your life. Drink: 2012-2016. 276261 13.10% XD 750 mL  $38.00 Score: 93/100. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
