A polished, ripe, fullish, succulent and well-balanced Minervois from the reliable house of Hecht & Bannier, with a solid dose of dark berry fruit flavour, a measured touch of coffee bean-inflected wood influence, and savoury southern Mediterranean herbs. Tannins are ripe but grippy and alcohol generous but in check (14% declared). Very good length. Lovely stuff. Tasted July 2014. Value Rating: ***
The Wine Sisters reviewed this wine as follows:

A lovely wine at an even better price tag, this Syrah dominated red blend (with Grenache & Carignan), is ripe and dense with loads of dark fruit – cherry, blackberry and raspberry, that are slightly jammy, but not over-ripe or sweet. Fruit is balanced by black pepper and clove spice as well as black licorice. Perfect for cold weather sipping by the fire. Tasted November 2012
