Samson Ling reviewed this wine as follows:

The wolf head icon on the Jack London wines comes from the cover of the novel, The Call of the Wild, written by former owner of this vineyard and California author, Jack London. This Cab shows black cherry, cassis, sweet spices and brambly herbal note. Full bodied with strapping tannins, this wine will benefit from an hour of decanting before serving it with steaks or game. It will also continue to evolve beautifully in a cellar for 5+ years.
