The 2011 introductory wines from Flat Rock are labelled as Vinology and this is their red made from the Pinot Noir grape. It's pale in colour but shows nice pepper notes as well as some dirt, cherry, and smoke. It also had a nice lingering finish. At $18.95 it's not quite worth the price, but certainly not a poor wine by any means. Available mid Sept, 2012.
Vinology Wines Red Flat Rock Cellars 2011, Niagara, Ontario VQA, Canada: This soft, plush, fruit red wine is a blend of Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Syrah grapes from a very respected producer in Niagara. It comes off tasting mostly like a Pinot Noir-Gamay blend, and that's a good thing, especially at this price point. Try it with roast chicken or planked salmon. Drink: 2012-2015. 305375 12.90% D 750 mL $12.95 Score: 87/100. June 21, 2014 Remarkable Roast Chicken Wine Full Review
