San Martino Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva Negroamaro Malvasia Nera 2004, D.O.C., Puglia, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: Made with primarily the Negroamaro grape with Malvasia Nera in support, this wine has a very deep garnet colour leading to an intriguing nose that features floral aromas as well as plum, raisin, anise, leather and earth notes. It’s dry with spicy ripe fruit and savoury notes of bay leaf and oregano. Moderate tannins and lively acidity provide structure and the finish is impressive. My note: Black cherry liqueur with blackberry jam. Very tasty and supple with full-bodied flavour. 159467 13% XD 750 mL $14.95 Score: 87/100. March 6, 2010 Full Review
