André Blanck Et Ses Fils Clos Schwendi Pinot Gris 2008, A.C., Alsace, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Classic aromas dominate this fine example of Alsatian Pinot Gris: pear, binned apple and a hint of smoke and tar. Medium dry with very good balance, this is an intense wine. My note: Paced with melon flavour and fine-grained texture. This is divinely great. Off-dry so it can work with a variety of dishes with sweetness (glazed ham) or spices and curries. 686311 13.50% MD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100. March 6, 2010 Full Review
