Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2010 Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz, sourced from 20 year old vines and then aged in French Oak for 12 months; has appealing aromas of lees, blackberry and black cherry on the nose and blackberry, raspberry, coconut, vanilla and oak on the palate. It is a full bodied, extra-dry/dry, fruity wine; with good acidity, refined tannins and a medium finish. Drink with food or sip on its own; drink now – 2018+. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts. Tasted at Australia Today 2014 Trade show in Feb/14.

Mark Britton rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The overly aggressive licorice flavours take away from an otherwise decent wine. Strong black fruit are a bit off balance from the strong french oak. Overall however pretty much what you should expect from a Barossa Shiraz and not bad value at $21.95.

Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz 2010, Barossa Valley, Australia: Lots of toasty oak and black fruit on the nose. Full-bodied, smooth and savoury. A long, satisfying finish with dark spices and black pepper. Drink: 2012-2021. 284091 14.50% XD 750 mL  $21.95 Score: 90/100. July 7, 2012 Best Beef Wine  Full Review
