I always suggest this as the red wine for beginners, and remind seasoned drinkers of its simple pleasures. As a single varietal wine, it is fun to pick out classic Garnacha notes like ripe black cherry, juicy plum, and gentle spices like cinnamon. A round delicious value wine that does go exceptionally well with childhood favourites - chicken fingers, burgers, and pizza.

Dark and brooding in the glass. Medium+ body. Ruby red bursting with dark fruit. Black plum, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry jam with vanilla, oak and herbs. Tannins are not a factor in this wine. Acidity is balanced with luscious fruit. Great value. Winemaker suggests serving slightly chilled. I would consider experimenting with this wine and pairing with turkey and cranberry stuffing. Red meat would be Ideal. Drink now.
Mark Cochrane Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I bought this wine on sale for $7.95 so I wasn't expecting a lot but this medium bodied Granacha really delivered the goods. Aromas of blackberry and dark fruits with some vanilla in the background. This ruby red Granacha which is related to his french cousin Grenache has a nice fruit flavour of blackberry and some dark chocolate too. Surprisingly good and works well BBQ steak

Castillo De Monseran Garnacha 2011, CariƱena, Spain: Terrific for the price point! Full-bodied with dark fruit and smoke. Some cherry-berry flavours on the palate and finish. Smooth and supple.
