White peppered strawberries you say? A good-value, beautiful wine from start to finish. Firm strawberries and ripened raspberries greet your nose. An undertone of floral aromatics follow. The palate is that kind of spice you expect from a Syrah, but with less intensity. Cranberry, predominates just past the white pepper notes. Longer finish than expected! If you appreciate the colour of wine, you have to see this one; its salmon hues are something to behold! Tasted great with mulled apple cider marinated pork chops and tri-colour quinoa. Cheers!
Calliope Rose 2011, VQA, Okanagan Valley, BC, Canada: Very pretty and light with aromas of delicate field strawberries. Dry and refreshing. Terrific aperitif. Drink: 2012-2014. 175992 13.72% 750 mL $13.99 Score: 87/100. June 22, 2012 Full Review
