With a richness of black cherries, chocolate and hints of peppery spice in combination with its noticeably robust presence in my mouth, this pinot was a dazzling experience for my palate. It presented an unexpectedly full body with well-balanced, smooth tannins. It was such a showstopper, I couldn't resist a second glass.....(can't promise there was not also a third!) On a scale out of 100, I give this wine a score of 92.

Meiomi Belle Glos Pinot Noir 2010, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Sonoma Counties, California, United States: Chocolate and mocha on the nose from the oak with lusciously ripe black cherries. Silky-smooth and full-bodied with mouth-watering acidity for food. Very nice indeed. Drink: 2012-2016.  130138  13.80%  XD  750 mL  $26.95  Score: 91/100.
