Featherstone Winery Gewurztraminer 2011, VQA, Twenty Mile Bench, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: The "G" wine, as it's known at Featherstone, is a benchmark for Gewürztraminer in Niagara. It captures the typical perfumed aromas of rosewater, spices and lychee fruit leading to a dry, medium-bodied wine with a soft texture and an exotic flavour profile. This is an expressive beauty to simply enjoy as a refreshing summer sipper on the patio. My note: This is an extraordinary wine, and perhaps the best Canadian gewurztraminer that I've tasted. It's luscious with an incredible viscous texture that wraps around your tongue. Lovely aromas of rose petal and lychee. Double yum. Drink: 2012-2014. 874345000335 12.50% D 750 mL $19.95 Score: 93/100. June 22, 2012 Spectacular Spicy Wine Full Review
