reviewed this wine as follows:
This easy-drinking red wine has an abundance of flavour that includes blackberries, plums, steel, and some vegetal notes. It's starting to show it's age with a lovely garnet colour and a caramel aroma, but could still benefit from 3 years more of aging to further soften the supple tannins. Well-balanced and surprisingly complex. This would be excellent with Greek food, especially Dolmades and Keftedes. This wine would also shine with meats in tomato sauce, and medium cheeses. Definitely worth a try considering Greek wines can vary in quality, and this is a great value for quality!
Boutari Agiorgitiko 2007, A.O.C., Nemea, Greece: A plush, juicy, delicious wine that's a fantastic value at this price! Bursting with aromas of dark berries. Merlot-like in its supple texture and medium- to full-body. Great party wine! Drink: 2010-2014. 172148 12.50% D 750 mL $12.95 Score: 87/100. August 17, 2010 Full Review
