Terras De Monforte Herdade Do Perdigão Trincadeira Alfrocheiro Tempranillo 2006, Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portugal: Vintages Wine Panel: Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2008 Mundus Vini competition in Germany. A blend of the local Trincadeira and Alfrocheiro grapes, plus Tempranillo under its local name, Aragónez. The wine is filled with black cherry, blackberry, sweet herbs, red plum and earth tones. Dry and tangy/fruity with moderate tannins bringing impeccable balance. A long-finishing wine. My note: A vibrant, purple plum wine with fleshy berries and a lick of spice on the finish. Full-bodied and supple. 157107 14% XD 750 mL $15.95 Score: 88/100. February 6, 2010 Full Review
